Have you tried Boxercise?

Boxercise is an effective form of cross training that incorporates a combination of boxing movements and aerobics. This makes for a fun alternative and also improves rhythm, coordination as well as burning calories.

Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. Classes can take a variety of formats but a typical one may involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads, kicking punch bags, press-ups, shuttle-runs and sit-ups. Most Boxercise classes are aimed at men and women of all ages and fitness standards. As no class involves the physical hitting of an opponent, it is a fun, challenging and safe workout

Our class focuses on upper body conditioning, toning of your arms, chest and abdominals. It also includes some lower body exercises as well as improving cardiovascular fitness so is considered the perfect training workout.

Boxercise is available at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre at the following times:
Tuesday 1.00-1.50pm
Thursday 8.00-9.00pm

Click here for more information or call Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre on 020 3772 2999.

Ever thought of becoming a lifeguard?

Pools on the Park run National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) courses throughout the year.

The RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. The NPLQ course is 36 hours long with a practical assessment on theory, pool rescue, first aid and CPR.

This course is a great starting point for anyone looking for a career in the leisure industry.
Lifeguards are an integral part of the staff at a swimming pool. They keep an eye on everything happening from poolside and are qualified to intervene if a person is in trouble.
The role is nearly always offered on a part-time basis and this flexibility means it is often taken up by young people at college or university

All applicants must be 16 years or over on the last day of the course.

Over the summer Pools on the Park will be running 4 courses:

Course 1
13, 14, 15, 18, and 19 July

Course 2
27, 28, 29 July, 1 and 2 August

Course 3
10, 11, 12, 15, and 16 August

Course 4
24, 25, 26, 30 and 31 August
