Easter is nearly here and we’ve got loads of fun things to keep the kids occupied during the Easter holidays including swim crash courses, diving and rookie lifeguard workshops and toddler fun time sessions.

We are very excited to announce that from Monday 4 April we will be operating Pools on the Park in Richmond. Please read our articles below to find out how you can use the centre and what you need to do if you’re an existing Springhealth member.

Our gold membership will include Pools on the Park, so if you’re not already a gold member why not upgrade today! Membership will include use of the refurbished gym, fitness classes, swimming and use of the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.

Pools on the Park is coming soon

Pools on the Park is coming soon.

From Monday 4 April 2016 the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames will be operating Pools on the Park in Richmond and will become part of Feel Good Fitness.

• Refurbished gym with over 40 workout stations
• Group exercise studio with extensive range of fitness classes
• Swimming, including outdoor swimming pool*
• Feel Good Swim School, with lessons for infants, juniors and adults
• Spa including sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi

Are you an existing Pools on the Park member?

As you may already be aware the management of Pools on the Park will transfer from Springhealth Leisure to the London Borough Richmond on Monday 4 April 2016. Both London Borough of Richmond and Springhealth Leisure are working hard to ensure the transfer is as smooth as possible.

Are there going to be any changes from 4 April 2016?
You will see the same staff wearing new uniforms; there will be some refurbishment works to the reception area and an investment of over &100,000 on new fitness equipment including new spin bikes.

What will happen to my current membership?
As part of the transfer we ask that all existing direct debit members visit Pools on the Park to complete a new direct debit form if they wish to continue their membership at Pools on the Park with us. No joining fee will be charged for existing members. This form must be completed by 15/04/2016. Your last payment to Springhealth will be on 1 April 2016, which will be a pro-rata payment. If you transfer your membership we will require our 28 April 2016 payment to be made when you complete the direct debit form and the first direct debit we will collect will be on 28 May 2016.

If you have an existing Annual paid up front membership, we will be honouring these and your membership will continue until its current expiry date. We will then contact you prior to your renewal date.

Should your account be suspended at present due to illness or injury, please contact us to arrange your return and to ensure a direct debit form is completed.

How can I complete a direct debit form?
Please come and visit a member of the Feel Good Fitness staff who will be located in the café at Pools on the Park. Our friendly staff will help you complete the form and provide you with any additional information that you need. Staff will be available at Pools on the Park from 14 March 2016.

Will there be any closures?
Some refurbishment works will be taking place and closures will be necessary. The planned closures at present are listed below:
Fitness Suite – Will close for two weeks and re-open on Monday 18 April
Reception – Will close for one week and re-open on Monday 11 April, an alternative entrance will be made available during these works
Studios – Will close for a minimum of two days, re-opening date to follow shortly

Will I be compensated for the closures?
Existing direct debit members will not be charged for the period of 4 – 27 April.
If you have an existing annual membership then the 3 weeks will be added to your existing expiry.

Learn to swim this Easter

The Easter holidays are nearly here and if you’re looking for something fun and energetic to keep the kids occupied then look no further than Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre.

We are running two weeks of swimming crash courses. A short intensive course is often the best way to learn to swim or develop your skills. Courses are available for all ages and abilities including beginners through to improvers.

An intensive swimming course will benefit a child in many ways. They will learn skills faster, gain more confidence in their stroke and build confidence quicker.

New spinning programme starting soon at Teddington Pools

Our new spin programme at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre launches on Monday 4 April.

Saddle up, blast the music and get your heart pumping. Try the classes in our dedicated studio and spinning will get you addicted to sweaty workouts!

Spinning is suitable for all fitness levels from complete beginners to elite athletes. This class is also ideal for participants looking for a high energy workout with very low impact on the joints.

Throughout the class our instructor will tell you when to increase your resistance to climb a hill or when to decrease the resistance for the decent. The instructor will also give you suggestions for speed, whether to stay on pace with the music’s beat or go to double time, triple time or sprint!

It’s time for Toddler Fun Time!

Looking for something fun to do with the little ones this Easter holiday? Why not come along to Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre’s Toddler Fun Time sessions.

It’s a dedicated toddler session where pre-schoolchildren can come along and enjoy our fantastic range of soft play equipment including bouncy castle and inflatable slide.

Toddler Fun Time sessions are available during the school holidays, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays, 9.00am-4.00pm. Please check with the centre reception before visiting to ensure the sessions are taking place.

Sessions are also available Saturday and Sunday 9.00-10.55am.

It’s a great place for your little ones to burn off some energy!



Fun workshops in the Easter holidays

Come along to Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre and try one of our fun workshops.

Learn how to dive in our diving workshop.A chance to improve diving skills, learning how to do elementary dives, leading into racing dives from the side and the blocks. Diving is for children over 8 years, able to swim 25 metres of all strokes.

Tuesday 5 April 10.45-11.30am

Are you a budding lifeguard? Why not try our Rookie Lifeguard workshop. This session will include rope throwing, towing and rescues. Rookie Lifeguard is for children over 8 years and able to swim 50 metres of an efficient stroke.

Don’t forget you can come and have fun with the floats in our fun time float sessions. These run every weekend.

Hydrotherapy Pool public sessions

The hydrotherapy pool at Teddington Pool & Fitness Centre offers a unique environment for people who require supported exercise as part of a rehabilitation programme. The thermal and mechanical properties of the water assist the healing and recuperative effects of aquatic therapy.

It can help with lessening pain sensitivity, improving blood flow and circulation. Aquatic therapies can be used to treat muscle weakness, balance disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, soft tissue injuries and other conditions that impair circulation.

Come and try inclusive and disability sport

The next RISE event is on Saturday 16 April at Teddington Sports Centre. The event will be running from 10am to 3pm and there will be an opportunity to try rugby, dance, wheelchair basketball, football, tennis and many other sports too.

Participants will be able to find out about the inclusive and disability specific activities that are available in the borough and the surrounding area.
