Do you have time to volunteer?

The Sports Development Team have an inclusive Sports initiative called RISE (Richmond upon Thames Inclusive Sport and Exercise). RISE started in 2008 and promotes inclusive and disability specific sport and exercise activities in the borough for children, young people and adults.

We are looking for people who are interested in becoming a RISE buddy or volunteer at some of our sessions to support children, young people or adults with disabilities to access sports and exercise opportunities within the local area.

Buddies and volunteers will be matched with an individual or small group and support them in the activity that they would like to do. This may be an organised session such as RISE football or RISE tennis, an exercise class at a sports centre, athletics club or casual use of the gym.

The hours are flexible and we will match the buddy or volunteer according to their experience, availability and interests. If you have any questions or would like any further information then please call 020 8831 6134 or email lizzy.roberts@richmond.gov.uk
