Spin, Spin, Spin!

Our fantastic new Spin Studio at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre is now up and running and is proving to be very popular. From 31 March we have made a few changes to some of the classes. Please click here for our new programme.

All classes are instructor led, low impact, will burn more calories than other fitness classes and are simple to follow.

Classes are always taken at each individual’s own pace. Everyone can train together and each rider controls how hard they ride and no one will know how much resistance you have on your bike.

Do I have to be a member to take part? No! We offer pay as you go bundles. These allow you to pay for just one session or a pack of 10, 20 or 30 sessions.

Feel Good Swim School - children's and adults courses

You can learn to swim at any age. For those wanting to learn to swim we offer courses for all age groups from carer and baby through to adults.

Our April - July courses will start from Tuesday 22 April.

Booking dates for 3 year olds to club level lessons:

Priority booking for existing pupils
For children remaining in the same class, day and time booking takes place after their current class week beginning 10 March.

For children changing class or day and time. Booking takes place from Sunday 16 to Saturday 22 March.

New pupil bookings
New pupils can book from Sunday 23 March onwards. Bookings start at 12noon.

Booking dates for Carer and Baby / Toddler and Adult lessons:

Existing and new pupils
All bookings can be made from Tuesday 25 March from 9am.

We aim to challenge, encourage and motivate children to achieve their full swimming potential.

Don’t forget we are running crash courses during the Easter holidays. A short intensive course is often the best way to learn to swim or develop your skills. Courses are available for all ages and abilities. Diving workshop and fun time floats are also available during the Easter holidays. Please call us on 020 8977 9911 for more information.

Our new courses programme start form Tuesday 22 April. If you are already attending a sports course at Orleans Park Sports Centre, Shene Sports & Fitness Centre, Teddington Sports Centre or Hampton Sports & Fitness Centre you should have already received your junior course renewal form. If not please ask at reception on your next visit and make sure you book and pay to reserve your place.

Toddler fun this Easter at Orleans

Looking for something to keep the kids occupied over the Easter holidays? Why not bring them along to Orleans Park Sports Centre and let them have lots and lots of fun!

Toddler Fun Time will be available:
Monday 7 to Friday 11 April 11.00am-3.00pm
Monday 14 to Thursday 17 April 11.00am-3.00pm
Our regular Saturday and Sunday sessions will also be running 9.00-11.00am, excluding Easter Sunday 20 April.

These sessions are aimed at children up to 5 years of age and include a bouncy castle, giant inflatable slide, small climbing frame and soft play shapes. Parent/guardian must remain with the child at all times. Please contact the centre to check that the sessions are running.

Have you tried Piloxing?

This new class at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre is a combination of Pilates and boxing. Piloxing is fast paced fat burning high intensity interval training and is suitable for complete beginners.

It uniquely blends the power, speed and agility of boxing with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates.

But how does the meditative quiet of Pilates work with the aggression of boxing we hear you ask? Well the punches, combined with the jumps, bring your heart rate up to the roof, while the Pilates positions work your buttocks and core.

Piloxing is available at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre on Monday 6.00-7.00pm

Join our Badminton Club

Our Badminton Club at Orleans Park Sports Centre caters for players of all standards. With a mix of experienced players and a fully qualified coach on hand to give advice should you want it, you’ll be able to enjoy badminton on your own terms.

We are always looking for new players to come along and join in and we will always make you feel welcome.

Zumba is one of the most popular group fitness classes in the world. Why? Because it’s great fun! This is the perfect class if you need to de-stress and relax. Our yoga class ensures that the mind and the body take time out to forget any stresses, making our class a vital drop in point for those of you who endure heavy and tiring days..

Stretch and tone
Stretch and tone is a combination of Pilates and yoga with an element of stretching. Using your body weight to increase muscle tone and stretching to increase flexibility.

Here at Feel Good Fitness our Fitness Testing Support Service, which uses FitnessAge, will allow our trainers to develop a comprehensive training programme based on the results of your fitness test.

Ever wondered whether you’re ageing faster or slower than you should be? After reaching the age of 21, your chronological age has very little meaning or relevance when compared to the physical condition of your body and overall health. Ageing doesn’t happen with just the rising and setting of the sun, but rather is heavily influenced by how you treat your body

So what Is FitnessAge?
FitnessAge is a breakthrough fitness assessment programme that inspires and motivates real change. FitnessAge provides a fun and easy to understand fitness assessment experience.

Age vs FitnessAge
A 42 year old can have a FitnessAge of 64 or 24, depending on how well they have looked after themselves. For example, if a 42 year old had neglected their health and fitness and their FitnessAge is 64, this means they are physically performing at the same level as the average 64 year old. On the flip side, an older individual who is health conscious could maintain the physical condition of a much younger person.

Looking for children's sports courses in Teddington?

Teddington Sports Centre offers a wide range of courses for children of all ages and abilities. Why not try judo, street dance, karate, squash, gymnastics, trampolining and tennis.

Street dance
Learn urban dance moves to the latest dance tunes. Our structured dance classes are designed to develop technique, co-ordination and confidence in street dance styles.

This is a course that promotes self-defence within close proximity. Judo is a close contact sport that concentrates on throws and sweeps rather than kicks and punches. This course is run in our gymnasium dojo, for children of all levels.

Children will improve balance, hand-eye and hand-foot coordination, flexibility muscle tone, cardio-vascular/fitness timing and rhythm. All that and they’ll learn self defence as well.

Our experienced instructors will help your child to learn a new skill, meet new friends and have lots of fun along the way. All courses start from 22 April so book your place early to avoid disappointment.

Save the date

In partnership with Find My Sport Shene Sports & Fitness Centre are hosting a sports activity day on Sunday 13 July.

Find My Sport is a jamboree of sports for 4-11 year olds. It is an opportunity for your child to watch and try a whole range of sports and be inspired to pursue one or more of them. Find My Sport is about each child finding the sport that suits them. It is not intended as an elite athlete search. It’s about making sport a core, fun value for your child; an attitude that will last a life-time.

So, how will it work? Shene Sports & Fitness Centre boasts a playing field, 2 indoor sports halls and an Astroturf area. 18 different sports will be available to try across those locations. The day will be split into sessions and parents will be able to book their child onto the sessions that they are interested in. During the session children will get a short demonstration with the rest of the time being dedicated to giving it a go – with the best coaches on hand to help. You pick your sessions when you register and will get an email confirmation of your schedule. No aimless wandering! It’s just back to back sport and fun. Registration opens on Monday 24 March.
