All change at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre

Here at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre we’re having a bit of a facelift. During December and January the following refurbishment works will be taking place:

• New spin studio located in the existing seated area with some modifications to the fitness suite layout.

• The installation of an access control system located at reception including fast track entry for members.

• Modifications to the reception service area.

• Relocation of the community toilet to create a new seating area.

• Re-grouting of the poolside floor tiles.

• New pool hall lighting.

• Improvements to the floor in the wet changing area.

• Essential works to various items of pool plant equipment.

• Resurfacing of the Hydrotherapy Pool car park including markings for new disabled spaces.

New term...new start...new classes

All courses start in January and there are activities for every age group starting from the age of three years. If you find karate, football, trampolining and gymnastics too energetic we also offer classes in yoga and Pilates.

Could children in Sheen become a future Wimbledon champion? Tennis courses at Shene Sports & Fitness Centre are available for the New Year term. Courses run on a Monday and Tuesday evening for beginners aged 3-5 years, 5-8 years and 8-11 years and start w/c 6 January. Other junior courses available include trampolining, karate, basketball, judo and gymnastics. There’s plenty for adults to do too. Why not try body conditioning, spinning, Zumba, circuits, Pilates, yoga, and badminton.

Why not take up a new sport at Teddington Sports Centre. There’s cheerleading, ballet, basketball, squash, gymnastics, trampolining, karate, tots tennis, tennis, streetdance, judo and wheelchair basketball to choose from. Teddington Sports Centre also offers a range of fitness classes including Zumba, Pilates, yoga, ballet and stretch and tone. Fitness class direct debit membership is also available at Teddington. So if you already come along to two classes per week then a monthly direct debit membership will save you money.

Hampton Sports & Fitness Centre offers a wide range of courses for children of all ages and abilities. Why not try judo, basketball, karate, trampolining, gymnastics or badminton. All courses start w/c 6 January so book your place early to avoid disappointment. Adults needn’t miss out either. Kick start your fitness and try one of our fitness classes. There are lots to choose from including Pilates, legs, bums and tums, aerobics, yoga, spinning, circuits and Zumba.

Orleans Park Sports Centre is located at Orleans Park School in Twickenham and offers a great choice of junior courses and adult sessions. For those with a head for heights our junior trampolining courses build confidence in basic skills through to more dynamic and complex moves. Courses run on Mondays from 6-7pm and 7-8pm. Children’s karate, ballet, gymnastics and taekwondo courses are also available. Any adults looking to get fit then Orleans Park is just the place for you with Zumba, circuits, Pilates and adult dance to choose from. Don’t forget if you attend our classes regularly you could save money with our fitness class membership.

Due to the Twickenham Academy refurbishment works the majority of the facilities at Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre are closed at the moment. However we are still running junior football courses on the 3G astro-turf pitch. Courses start on Saturday 11 January. Click here for more information.

Cheer and have fun!

Our cheerleading courses are new this term at Teddington Sports Centre.

Cheerleading classes are rapidly increasing in popularity. They offer diversity in both their dance moves and accompanying music. What’s more…cheerleading classes are fun, a great way to keep fit and due to large routines performed in groups it’s a great way to meet friends.

Cheerleading classes offer a mixed form of dance combining modern dance styles with acrobatics, gymnastics and lifts and cover all elements of cheerleading including cheers, chants, dance, kicks, tumbling, jumps and basic stunting.

Our courses are available:
Monday
5.30-6.15pm 5-7 years
6.15-7.00pm 8-11 years

Stretch at Shene and get into shape

Why not come along to Shene Sports & Fitness Centre and try out our new Stretch 'n' Tone class on Fridays at 9am.

This class will improve levels of fitness and stamina and develops all round body conditioning through a balanced programme of stretching, muscle toning, strength training and gentle aerobic exercise.

It’s a low impact workout suitable for all fitness levels.

Our new programme starts w/c 6 January and other classes available include body conditioning, spinning, Zumba, circuits, yoga, dance fitness and Pilates.

Don’t forget if you’re a Gold or Silver direct debit member then all of our fitness classes are free. So come along and give them a try!

Children's ballet at Teddington Sports Centre

If your children are interested in taking dance lessons, you may want to consider enrolling them in a course in classical ballet. Ballet is a form of dance that relies heavily on physical strength and agility, strong concentration skills, an understanding of music and rhythm and a love of movement. Instruction in ballet can provide numerous benefits for children of all ages regardless of their skill level.

Our ballet classes are taught using the syllabus from the Royal Academy of Dance and develop creativity, expression, coordination and control.

The following ballet classes are available at Teddington Sports Centre:
