Yoga and meditation course at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre

Take part in our Yin Yoga and Guided Meditation course at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre with Mariam Scudamore, physiotherapist, yoga and meditation teacher. No experience is needed.

Yin Yoga
This yoga focuses on hip opening and the lower back and benefits the physical body by freeing up the tight connective tissue capsules that form around the muscles and joints which can limit our mobility. Yin Yoga aims to work on this directly. This yoga practice is gentle and slow, which affects the deeper connective tissues of the body. This class is suitable for all ages.

Meditation
Why meditate? When you read about meditation, you become curious as to why people meditate. Why do they sit still and upright in silence for long periods of time? What are they thinking about? Is it some kind of religion; if so, what do they believe in?
To answer to “why mediate” is as obvious as “why be happy”? Meditation helps us to have a peaceful mind, which ultimately creates happiness and clarity in our lives.

Our course will run on Fridays 7.15-8.30pm from 18 October-22 November and costs &60 for non members, &50 for Leisure Card holders and &30 for direct debit members.

Please contact Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre on 020 8977 9911 for more information.
