Live it Up this summer

Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre offers a wide range of swimming crash courses for children of all ages and abilities throughout the summer holidays.

Swimming crash courses are a great introduction to swimming for your child. The aim of our courses is to build and improve water confidence / swimming ability in all age groups, to improve weak swimmers and to give the younger ones an introduction to water safety and structured lessons.

Our holiday crash courses are designed both for participants already in our swim school and for those that have never used the centre before.

Diving and Rookie Lifeguard courses are also available.

Don’t forget you can come and have fun with the floats in our fun time float sessions. These run everyday during the school holidays, Monday to Friday 3.00 – 4.00pm and Saturday and Sunday 2.00 – 4.00pm.

Feel Good Swim School - junior learn to swim programme

We are dedicated to helping parents keep their children active by providing excellent, safe and a well established Feel Good Swim School at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre.

For those wanting to learn to swim we offer courses for all ages and abilities. We have highly qualified instructors who will help to develop confidence both in and around the water.

Our September – December courses will start w/c 8 September

Booking dates for junior learn to swim lessons:

Priority booking for existing pupils
For children remaining in the same class, day and time booking takes place from Monday 30 June to Saturday 5 July anytime after their class.

For children changing class or day and time. Booking takes place from Sunday 6 to Saturday 12 July. Bookings start at 12noon on Sunday 6 July.

New pupil bookings
New pupils can book from Sunday 13 July onwards. Bookings start at 12noon.

Don’t forget we are running crash courses during the summer holidays. A short intensive course is often the best way to learn to swim or develop your skills. Courses are available for all ages and abilities. Click here for more information.

The benefits of baby swimming

Front crawl, butterfly, and tumble turns. Whilst these are just vague possibilities on your newborn’s horizon, it’s still never too early to introduce them to the water. Weekly lessons provide you with something to really look forward to. A special time, where you can focus on the joy of being with your baby, learning and experiencing new things together, whist one of our qualified instructors gently guided you through.

Here at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre we offer carer and baby/toddler courses. Lots of baby’s love the water and our Feel Good Swim School Infant learn to swim lessons are a fun way to bond and they can help your child feel more confident in the water as they grow.

These courses will help to build a carers confidence in handling their baby and familiarise them with the pool environment. Our carer and toddler courses are for water confident toddlers and will improve early water skills with carer support.

So what are the benefits of learning to swim at such a young age?
• It’s a skill for life
• A fantastic bonding experience
• Great for physical and mental development
• Exercise is fun and should be a way of life

Courses start from the 8 September and will run for 12 weeks. Priority booking for existing pupils takes place from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18 July. All new pupil bookings start from Saturday 19 July.

In at the deep end

If you’ve made it to adulthood without learning to swim, it may seem too late to start. But maybe it’s time to overcome your fear of water. Here at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre we have experienced instructors who will help and support you.

But our adult swimming courses aren’t just for people who can’t swim at all. Many adults who know how to swim may not necessarily swim with an efficient swim stroke. We can help you to improve stroke development and fitness.

We offer 6 week courses for beginners, intermediate or advanced swimmers. Our summer term will start from 26 June so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Come down to Hampton Sports & Fitness Centre and have a game of football whenever you feel like it! Just give us a call, book and play!

Our All Weather Pitch provides the perfect playing surface regardless of weather. The pitch can be hired, per hour, as one third of a pitch or hired as one whole pitch.

New fitness classes at Teddington Sports Centre

Our new fitness class programme at Teddington Sports Centre is starting soon! There’s a wide range of classes for all fitness levels including circuits, boot camp, and legs, bums and tums.

Our energetic and enthusiastic instructors will help you get fit and have fun at the same time!

Do you and your friends play badminton?

Badminton is England’s favorite racquet sport. It’s a great way to get fit and is really good fun at any level. Badminton can be an energetic pursuit or a light workout, depending on individual choice. Either way the entire body is used due to the large range of movement the sport demands, including leaps, lunges, twists, turns and stretches.

Here at Hampton Sports & Fitness Centre we have 4 courts available to hire on a casual basis or as a quarterly block booking. Don’t forget if you block book then it will save you money!

Try a beginners Yoga class today

Come along to Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre and take part in our new beginners Yoga class on Sunday 2.00-3.15pm. Your mental clarity and self-understanding will be enhanced and your stress levels will fall as your sense of well being improves.

Fancy burning 500 calories?

Spinning is a fun aerobic workout using stationary bikes and motivating music. If your goals include weight loss, improving cardiovascular performance and endurance or strengthening and toning your legs, then this class is for you. Spinning is suitable for all fitness levels from complete beginners to elite athletes. This class is also ideal for participants looking for a high energy workout with very low impact on the joints.

Summer holiday activities

Koosa Kids camps will be running at Teddington Sports Centre, Shene Sports & Fitness Centre, Orleans Park Sports Centre and the newly refurbished Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre during the summer holidays.

Camps will be available from Monday 21 July to Friday 29 August and are for children aged 4-13 years.

Beach Volleyball comes to Teddington

So you watched beach volleyball at the Olympics and now that the summer season is here you think you'd like to give it a try. Why not come along to Teddington Sports Centre and try out our new beach volleyball courts.

This fantastic new facility, which can be booked from Monday 14 July, will provide two full sized courts and one training court.

Evening courses will be run by Richmond Volleyball Club.
