Fancy playing Squash?

The squash coaching at Teddington Sports Centre is a drop in session in which you can learn, brush up on old skills, or simply just practice before sweating it out in a weekly round robin tournament.

Squash is a great game whatever age you are. The better you get the more you enjoy it and squash coaching is the fastest way to achieve your potential.

We will teach you to learn the correct way to hold a racket, arm position, body position and movement, the approach and swing for each type of shot, rules and safety and of course tactics.

You will also be encouraged to improve your fitness and court speed.

Squash coaching is available for anyone aged 16 years+ on Monday 7.00-8.00pm. This is followed by a Squash Social session 8.00-10.00pm.

Adult swim courses – we’ll teach you how to swim

Many adults would like to learn to swim given the right opportunity. Swimming is an excellent form of low impact exercise with many health benefits including weight loss, muscle toning and cardiorespiratory improvement. It’s also good fun.

At Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre we have a range of adult lessons designed for varying abilities. It’s never too late to learn to swim. From lessons for the complete beginner who lacks water confidence to lessons for competent swimmers who want to improve their technique. Feel Good Swim School has it all!

We understand that you may feel embarrassed or nervous about taking swimming lessons as an adult but please don’t feel like you’re the only one.

We offer 6 week courses for beginners, intermediate or advanced swimmers. Our next term will start w/c 5 September and you can book your place now.

Swimming is a total body workout that leaves you feeling energised and revitalised. So come and try one of our lessons today and get swimming.



Strike a pose with our Parents and Child Yoga course

Our Parents and Child Yoga session at Hampton Sports & Fitness Centre is a great way to have fun with your child in a relaxed, creative environment helping you both feel nurtured, calm and full of healthy vitality.

We will work with a variety of yoga postures that suit children’s little bodies and adults benefit too, drawing on children’s natural imagination and ability to have fun so they are kept engaged and active whilst receiving numerous physical and mental benefits. This will start the process of learning body and mind awareness.

So stretch your way to fitness with this fun and gentle yoga class. Be part of a yogic adventure and experience stretching through a magical journey.

This course takes place on Sundays 9.30-10.00am and will start on Sunday 11 September. This is a six week course and will finish on the 23 October.

We will be running another six week course after the half term holiday, 6 November to 18 December.

Toddler Fun Time at Whitton

Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre has a dedicated toddler session where pre-schoolchildren can come along and enjoy our fantastic range of soft play equipment including bouncy castle and inflatable slide.

It’s a great place for your little ones to burn off some energy!

Sessions are available Saturday and Sunday 9.00-10.55am during term times.

Toddler Fun Time sessions are also available during the summer holidays Monday to Friday 9.00am-4.00pm.

Serve it, Smash it, Win it

Do you and your friend’s fancy playing tennis? Then get your trainers and tracksuit and head to Teddington Sports Centre.

Our 7 week adult tennis course starts on Saturday 10 September 10.00-11.00am and will run until the 22nd October.

Volleyball is fast, fun and great for all-round fitness; it’s no wonder volleyball is such a popular sport. Our volleyball coaching sessions are a great social way to play and get to know the sport. Our sessions will teach you the basic techniques and help you get set for competition.

Whether you’ve never played before and want to give it a go or you haven’t played since you were at school – or on holiday – we’ll give you the opportunity to give it a try!

New RISE activities for September

RISE (Richmond upon Thames Inclusive Sports and Exercise) promotes inclusive and disability specific sport and exercise activities for children, young people and adults.

The new term of all our regular RISE activities starts in September:
Multi-Sports, Football, Dance & Drama, Swimming, Trampolining, Yoga and Wheelchair Basketball. You can see the full details of our RISE activities on the website. Please click here for more details.

In addition to the weekly activities, Gym and Swimming continue through the year in our Sports & Fitness Centres along with Archery and Royal Richmond Archery Club.

Our next RISE event, where you can come and find out about inclusive and disability specific sports and exercise activities and try many of our is on Saturday 22 October at Teddington Sports Centre.

Come and play football at Whitton

Our 3G Pitch at Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre provides the perfect playing surface regardless of weather. The pitch can be hired, per hour, as one third of a pitch or hired as one whole pitch.

So if you and your mates are looking for somewhere to play football why not pop down to Whitton today.

We have 4-6pm slots available for matches throughout the winter.
