Become a lifeguard

Pools on the Park run National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) courses throughout the year.

The RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland; it is also internationally recognised and is a great starting point for anyone looking for a career in the leisure industry.

The NPLQ course is 36 hours long over 5 days with a practical assessment covering theory, pool rescue, first aid and CPR. All applicants must be 16 years or over on the last day of the course.

Over the summer Pools on the Park will be running the following courses:

Course
