RISE activities in Richmond

RISE (Richmond Inclusive Sports and Exercise) promotes inclusive, disability specific sport and exercise activities in the borough for children, young people and adults.

RISE continues to run regular activities, including: multi-sports, football, dance & drama, trampolining, wheelchair basketball, archery, yoga, gym and swimming.  RISE football will finish for the season on Saturday 20 May but multi-sports, which takes place immediately before football, will be extended to 2 hours with an opportunity to play football.  RISE football will commence again in September.

Following on from our successful RISE canoeing courses, we will be running another course on Fridays, 4.30 – 6.30pm, 9 June – 21 July.  These are fun sessions at the Lensbury Watersports Centre in Teddington led by experienced coaches and provide an opportunity to try different canoes and kayaks.  Participants learn different strokes and skills and build up their confidence on the water through drills and games.

Save the Date!  Saturday 22 July for our RISE Summer Spectacular Open Day.  More details to follow.
